Kentucky rallies for home win over Cleveland State
Kentucky trailed 54-44 with 7:41 remaining at home to Cleveland State but came back to win 68-61 on Monday night in the nonconference game at Rupp Arena.
The Harrison twins, Andrew and Aaron, struggled for much of the game before Andrew had a big three-point play and Aaron knocked in a big corner three to help the Wildcats (5-1) pull away. Andrew finished with 12 points and five assists and Aaron with 11 points. Julius Randle had a 15 point, 15 rebound effort in a game that saw Kentucky shoot 21 percent from the three-point line.
Games like this will happen for No. 3 Kentucky because they’re so young and their freshman are still getting familiar with each other and familiar with being hunted every game. Once the Harrison twins play more consistently, they can help supplement Randle’s consistent double-doubles.
