Ohio State cruises past the Roadrunners

If you have spent any time on twitter during the NCAA Tournament, then you are probably aware of the Law of Gus.

For those out of the loop, here’s a quick definition for you: if Gus Johnson, also known as Mr. March Madness (I’m going to make this nickname stick if its the death of me), is on the call, then no lead is ever safe and every game will, undoubtedly, have some form of excitement down the stretch.

We’ll chalk this up as the exception that proves the rule.

Texas-San Antonio held an early, 11-7 lead on Ohio State, but once the Buckeyes started to click, this game was over. OSU opened up a 16 point halftime lead, pushed it to 20 in the second half, and cruised to an 75-46 victory over the Roadrunners.

William Buford led four players in double figures with 18 points, the Buckeyes assisted on 26 of their 29 field goals, and OSU knocked down 12 of their 24 three point attempts.

Don’t worry, Gus.

We won’t hold it against you.
