North Carolina freshman forward James Michael McAdoo made his decision to return to school on Thursday, with the ability to push even higher in the lottery being one likely reason why.

But there are two other key players in the Triangle who have yet to make their decisions, NC State sophomore forward C.J. Leslie and Duke junior forward Mason Plumlee.

Leslie likely improved his draft stock with his play in the NCAA tournament, and he’s still waiting for feedback from the NBA Draft’s advisory committee.

The same goes for Plumlee, who has yet to make up his mind despite reports a couple of weeks ago that he was going to declare.

And similar to McAdoo, the money likely isn’t the sole factor being taken into consideration by either player according to Brett Friedlander of the Wilmington StarNews.

Leslie likely isn’t a guaranteed first round pick, and a return to Raleigh could not only mean further improvement of his draft prospects but also an ACC title.

NC State loses just C.J. Williams from their rotation, and with three McDonald’s All-Americans arriving the Wolfpack are in good position for a run at their first ACC title since 1989.

As for Plumlee’s decision a return to Durham would provide the opportunity to show that he can perform at a high level consistently while also getting to play a season with younger brother Marshall, who redshirted this year.

North Carolina fans received some good news on Thursday. Duke and NC State fans hope they’ll receive the same in the coming days.
