Academic misconduct at UNC may have gone on for over a year
North Carolina athletic director Dick Baddour said in a meeting with North Carolina’s Board of Governors that academic misconduct at the university may have gone on for more than a year.
The NCAA is currently investigating two incidents with the university, one “involving whether players received extra benefits from a tutor who also worked for head coach Butch Davis’ family, and the other involving whether players had improper contact with agents.”
“We will go where the information leads us. If that isn’t the immediate year ... we will go where the information takes us,” Baddour said to the Board.
Earlier this week, North Carolina defensive line coach John Blake resigned after being targeted in the NCAA’s investigation regarding players receiving improper benefits from agents.
