Well that certainly didn’t take long.
Late Sunday afternoon, a video purportedly involving the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity at Oklahoma surfaced, showing members of the frat gleefully giving voice to a racially-charged chant. Soon after, members of the OU football program took to Twitter to express their collective disgust, while the school’s president vowed an investigation into the type of behavior that he said will not be tolerated.
Monday morning, David Boren backed up those words, at least partially, in a statement sent out over the same social media site.

Prior to Boren’s announcement that the frat house will be shuttered, Bob Stoops joined a group of Sooner athletes, including football players, who had gathered to protest the racist video.

“It’s hard to believe that that actually happened. It’s sad the ignorance that can still be there with some people,” Stoops told Guerin Emig of Tulsa World. “It’s just appalling. I was here to be with my guys. We all work with beautiful young men. ...
“It’s just... y’know... very little gets me choked up. But that
hurt.”
