Michigan running back Fitz Toussaint has already been reinstated to the football team following a one-game suspension (against Alabama). Now, he’s re-earned his starting job.
Brady Hoke announced Friday on MGoBlue.com that Toussaint will start today against Air Force.
“They are both going to play,” Hoke said earlier this week of Toussaint and defensive end Frank Clark, who was also suspended against the Tide.
Toussaint was arrested July 21 and hit with a drunk driving charge, but that was eventually reduced to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired, to which he pleaded guilty. Clark was charged around the same time as Toussaint with second-degree home invasion stemming from the alleged theft of a MacBook Air from a student’s dorm room this past June.
Toussaint rushed for 1,041 yards as a redshirt sophomore last season.
