BC to be down a defensive starter vs. VaTech

Virginia Tech will be without their starting running back for Saturday’s game against Boston College. In a fit of sportsmanship, apparently, their opponents are holding out a starter on the other side of the ball as well.

According to the Boston Globe, starting defensive tackle Conor O’Neal will not play in today’s home game against the Hokies. The sophomore lineman was suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules.

O’Neal had started the first two games of the season. He will be replaced by senior Damik Scafe.
