Jerry Rice’s son one of three Bruins to forgo final year of eligibility
UCLA may have
Puff Daddy’s P. Diddy’s Papa Diddy Pop Sean Combs’ son, Justin, on its roster, but the Bruins will now be without another player with a famous last name.
Per Chris Foster of the Los Angeles Times, Jerry Rice Jr. has decided to forgo his final year of eligibility. Rice is one of three Bruins to decide to do so this spring, the others being fellow wide receiver Ricky Marvray and linebacker Todd Golper. All will graduate this spring.
Rice, the son of former 49ers and Raiders great Jerry Rice, was seldom used by UCLA, recording just nine catches for 69 yards in his career. Marvray was used more often, pulling in 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his career. Golper was used mostly on special teams.
