North Carolina State is dealing with another tough injury to its team that will result in multiple games missed.
The university announced today that defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy had surgery today to repair a foot fracture and is expected to miss six weeks and the first five games of the season.
A senior, Sweezy had 13 tackles for loss and six sacks last season and was an All-ACC honorable mention.
Also afflicted by serious injuries for the Wolfpack are running back Mustafa Greene (foot), offensive lineman Duran Christophe (knee) and Jarvis Byrd (ACL).
