OLE MISS PLAYERS DAVIS AND POWE ARRESTED SUNDAY

Both sophomore football player Enrique Davis and junior Jerrell Powe were ticketed early Sunday morning after a party at Powe’s apartment. Powe received a citation for a noise violation while Davis was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to comply. What was seemingly a normal college party on a Saturday night took a slightly bizzare turn when Davis made a comment as the police officer was walking away.

The officer requested Davis hand over his identification, but Davis looked at the officer with a “shunning face,” according to the report. The report said the officer then requested Davis’ identification several more times and Davis started to walk towards the stairwell and gave the officer a “crazy face” when confronted about walking away. The officer grabbed Davis’ left elbow to stop him, but Davis pulled away from the officer, who then put him up against the stairwell and placed him in custody for disorderly conduct and failure to comply, the report said.

Officer Zachary White, who issued both tickets seems to have a big set of rabbit ears, especially if he has to resort to descriptions in the police report like “shunning face” and “crazy face."Davis ran for 244 yards last year as a true freshman, while Powe completed his long saga of qualifying for school after not making the grades to get into Ole Miss after being recruited by former head coach Ed Orgeron.
