In a move that’s not all that surprising, Penn State linebacker Navorro Bowman has opted to make the 2009 season his final season in Happy Valley.
Speaking to ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad, Bowman said that while he’s proud “to have been part of a great tradition at Penn State”, he feels like it’s time to move on to the next phase of his football career.
“I sat down with my family and the right choice for me is to pursue the next level,” Bowman said. “I’m proud of my accomplishments in college but it’s also a time to take care of my family.”
Bowman is the first underclassman LB to publicly announce he’s leaving school early.
