It hasn’t taken South Florida long to begin interviewing coaches for the vacancy left by Skip Holtz. Of course, by “left” we mean he was let go after just three seasons.
Per FOXSports, USF is planning to interview former Arkansas and Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt. USF has neither confirmed nor denied that report. Nutt spent three seasons at Ole Miss after spending a decade at Arkansas. He led the Razorbacks to a 75-48 record before resigning following the 2007 regular season.
Other names that have been connected -- at least loosely -- to the USF job are Willie Taggart (Western Kentucky, who also reportedly interviewed Tuesday), Mario Cristobal (FIU), Dan McCarney (North Texas) and Ron Zook (!!!!).
