The Golden Bears already picked up defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy and will now get the No. 7 recruit from the Rivals100 in safety Shaq Thompson from Grant HS (CA).
Thompson picked the Bears over Notre Dame and Washington. At 6'2" and 210 pounds, Thompson already has great size at the safety position.
