From the “Karma, She’s a Bitch” department comes word that Jeff Jagodzinski has been fired as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator. Before he’s even coached a regular-season game with the Bucs.
Reportedly, there was some discord between the coordinator and quarterbacks coach Greg Olson, who was promoted to the Jagodzinski’s position.
Jagodzinski, of course, made headlines earlier this after he was warned by athletic director Gene DeFilippo to not interview for the head-coaching vacancy with the New York Jets or else face termination. Jagodzinski did, and DeFilippo did as well, firing the coach January 7 after word of the interview leaked.
The coordinator was hired by Tampa a little more than three weeks after his BC firing.
Defensive coordinator Frank Spaziani was ultimately promoted to fill Jagodzinski’s spot.
