Stanford will be without second-leading receiver for Beavers

As Stanford gets set for its second of three straight games against ranked opponents, the Cardinal offense has taken a rather significant hit.

Devon Cajuste suffered a bruised right knee in last Saturday’s win over UCLA. As a result, head coach David Shaw said Thursday, the wide receiver will not play in this Saturday’s game against Oregon State in Corvallis.

Shaw is hopeful Cajuste will be available for the Cardinal’s huge Nov. 7 showdown with Oregon.

The loss of Cajuste for the game against the 25th-ranked Beavers is a significant one. The junior is currently second on the team behind Ty Montgomery in receptions (21), receiving yards (377) and receiving touchdowns (four).

Shaw also confirmed that starting kicker Jordan Williamson will miss a second consecutive game due to a leg injury.
