Sunday, we told you the status of Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray for Saturday’s Big 12 title game with Nebraska was unknown.
24 hours later, Murray’s injury picture is not any clearer.
Murray suffered a knee injury in Saturday night’s win over Oklahoma State after taking a helmet to the knee. Asked today during the Big 12 teleconference, Bob Stoops had no new light to shed on Murray’s health, although that could change by the end of today.
“I’ll have something a little more to say and make sure (the media) knows probably closer to practice or after practice,” the head coach said.
Murray isn’t the only uncertainty the Sooners have medically as they begin preparations for the Cornhuskers; starting safety Jonathan Nelson, who was second on the team in tackles entering the weekend, suffered a concussion in the win over the Cowboys and, like with Murray, Stoops said he should have more information on Nelson’s status later today.
