Syracuse running back Jordan Fredericks has revealed his intention to transfer, his mother told student newspaper The Daily Orange on Monday.
As a freshman in 2015, Fredericks led the club in carries and rushing yards, amassing 107 totes for 607 yards and four touchdowns while catching six passes for 55 yards and a score.
But Fredericks fell on the depth chart under new head coach Dino Babers and his new staff. Fredericks accounted for only 28 carries this season, good for fourth on the team and third among running backs, for 139 yards and no touchdowns. He caught two passes for 19 yards.
He is the fifth player to leave the Orange’s roster in Babers’s first season, the Orange notes.
