North Carolina signee Angelo Hadley was released from his scholarship by North Carolina after being arrested and charged with three felonies. It was his second arrest in the month. This according to the St. Petersburg Times:Hadley, who signed a scholarship offer to play football at North Carolina in February, was charged with third-degree grand theft, grand theft of a firearm and armed burglary of a dwelling with firearm possession, all third-degree felonies. It is the second time this month Hadley, who turned 18 in September, had been arrested. On April 5, he was arrested and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery. He was released that morning on $15,000 bond.Hadley chose between scholarships from Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, and USF before signing with the Tar Heels in February. He was arrested at his high school yesterday afternoon on the felony charges. As ESPN.com blogger Heather Dinich points out, there is practically no way that Butch Davis (and the rest of the coaches recruiting him) didn’t have an idea of the type of kid Hadley is. I wonder if they’d have released him from his scholarship if he had only had the two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
