Following the release of Texas Tech O-line coach Matt Moore, Tommy Tuberville didn’t have to look to long or hard to find a replacement.
Chris Level of RedRaiderSports.com broke the news last night, but the school confirmed today that TTU was acquiring former Texas A&m offensive line coach Jim Turner. According to Level, Turner was TTU’s first choice.
Turner had been at A&M since 2008, and held coaching spots at Harvard and Temple, among other places, before joining Mike Sherman‘s staff.
Turner will call the offensive plays for the Aggies in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas against Northwestern before joining the Red Raiders staff.
