Well, that takes care of that. Maybe
Briefly suspended following an arrest on a drunk-driving charge, Fitz Toussaint‘s status for No. 8 Michigan’s opener vs. No. 3 Alabama has been very much up in the air. Today, a little -- but not complete -- clarity was added to the back’s availability for the huge Week One matchup.
On its depth chart for the game with the Tide in Arlington Saturday night, Toussaint is listed as the Wolverines’ starting running back. However, head coach Brady Hoke, during a subsequent press conference, stated that no decision has been made as to whether or not Toussaint will play.
As for when a decision will be made, Hoke would only allow “soon,” which makes sense since the first game is a mere six days away.
Last season, Toussaint led all UM running backs in rushing with 1,041 yards and nine touchdowns.
