Georgia lost inside linebackers coach Warren Belin to the Carolina Panthers earlier this month. Reportedly, the Bulldogs have reached into the NFL for his replacement.
According to multiple media outlets, head coach Mark Richt has hired long-time Washington Redskins assistant Kirk Olivadotti as his new LBs coach. The school has yet to confirm the hiring, although that could happen before the end of the week.
The 37-year-old Olivadotti has spent the past 11 seasons with the Redskins as a defensive assistant.
When UGA defensive coordinator Todd Grantham was a coach for the Houston Texans, Olivadotti’s father, Tom Olivadotti, was on the same coaching staff.
Olivadotti’s only jobs at the collegiate level were at Maine Maritime and Indiana State.
