Can You Beat The Basketball Experts?

Fantasy basketball season has arrived, and this year we're doing something special: the first-ever Rotoworld Live Fantasy Basketball Draft!

Joining the likes of our fantasy football and baseball drafts, members of the Rotoworld hoops crew will convene at the NBC Sports Studios to put together the best fantasy basketball team they can on camera.

For those of you not familiar with how our events go, the Live Draft will pit eight lucky Draft Guide users against four experts: two from Rotoworld and one from our partners at Yahoo Sports. Using the Yahoo Sports platform and standard scoring system, we’ll be drafting for a 12-team league, with eight Draft Guide users and the aforementioned experts: Rotoworld's own Steve Alexander and Ryan Knaus and another expert-to-be-named-later alongside Yahoo's Dalton Del Don.

Ahmed Fareed will host the event, with Matt Stroup and Tommy Beer joining for live analysis.

But this year, it won't just be about the draft. All four experts will maintain their lineups and play out the league for the entire 2019-20 fantasy basketball season. This will give the eight Draft Guide users the opportunity to truly beat the experts over the course of the season, an ultimate test of their fantasy skills.

All Draft Guide users will be eligible for the final eight spots in this year's Live Draft and the 2019 league. If you're a subscriber, and you're interested, contact us at draftwithrw@gmail.com. Plus, the more Rotoworld premium products you purchase, the more chances you have to be selected! If you are a Draft Guide user, you can receive one chance to win. If you are a subscriber to the Draft Guide and Season Pass products, you can receive five chances to win. And if you purchase the All-In Package with our DFS Toolkit, you will receive 10 chances to win. Check out all of our product packages now.

The deadline for entries is Friday, Sept. 27, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

But even if you don't win a spot in the Live Draft, Rotoworld users will have the chance to see how the experts go about their draft process. Rather than the standard exercise of reading through an expert mock draft, you will get reaction, analysis and strategy advice (plus a bit of trash talking) in real time. Ever wonder what goes through Dr. A's head as the clock is winding down on his pick? What kind of hot takes will Stroup and Beer dish out? Now’s your chance to find out and gain invaluable information on how to approach your draft. Plus, it’s going to be a ton of fun to see what our experts think of the “Average Joes’” draft choices!

Live coverage from NBC Sports studios begins Thursday, Oct. 3 at Noon ET on TwitchYouTube, the NBC Sports App and NBCSports.com/Live.

If you have any questions or comments for our experts during the broadcast, you can participate on the Twitch and YouTube chats throughout the draft. And don’t forget to share among your fellow fantasy basketball fans as well. After the draft, another writer will grade the Live Draft in a column on Rotoworld for everyone to debate.
