Here we go with the College Hoops DFS slate for the First Four NCAA Tournament games starting at 5:10 ET on Thursday. DraftKings also has two NIT Tournament games included in their slate. Here are the odds for all of the games:

Texas Southern vs. Mount St. Mary’s (+1) / Total: 131.5

Drake vs. Wichita State (+2) / Total: 140.5

App State vs. Norfolk State (+3) / Total: 133.5

UCLA vs. Michigan State (-2) / Total: 134

NC State vs. Davidson (-1.5) / Total: 137.5 -- DK Only

SMU vs. Boise State (-1) / Total: 145 -- DK Only

With that, let’s get to the daily fantasy analysis!

GUARDS

Damian Chong Qui - Mount St. Mary’s - FD: $7,500 - DK: $8,000

There’s a lot to like about players from Mount St. Mary’s today. They are playing up in pace against a Texas Southern team that ranks 25th in possessions per game. That should give them several extra opportunities to post fantasy numbers. Damian Chong Qui is the leader of this team, as he’ll play every minute of this do-or-die contest. He posted 36+ fantasy points in two of his last three games, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case tonight.

Joseph Yusufu - Drake - FD: $6,400 - DK: $6,000

This Drake vs. Wichita State game has one of the highest over/unders (140.5) of the FanDuel slate. Drake star Shanquan Hemphill could play in this game, but it’s hard to think he’ll be effective and see more than 20-25 minutes after a long layoff. This means Yusufu will continue to carry the load for the Bulldogs, which has translated to 31 FPPG over his last seven games. As you can see, Yusufu is underpriced on both sites relative to that recent average. Go ahead and lock him in! Our CBB DFS Optimizer loves him, and I’m in agreement.

Joe Bryant Jr. - Norfolk St. - FD: $5,600 - DK: $6,100

Bryant is an adequate value filler on FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a wide range of fantasy outcomes with him, as his range is 13-42 FP over the last four games. However, I like the way he played in the conference tournament, seeing 30+ minutes with 42 and 28 fantasy points respectively. There’s a chance that carries into this First Four matchup.

Also Consider: Kendric Davis (DK), Tyson Etienne, Adrian Delph, Alterique Gilbert

FORWARDS

Mezie Offurum - Mount St. Mary’s - FD: $5,700 - DK: $5,800

Offurum’s value is jumping off the screen when looking at our CBB DFS Optimizer. A closer look helps validate that enthusiasm. Offurum is averaging 21 FPPG on the season, and he has surpassed that total in four straight games. That includes 42 and 28 fantasy point performances over that span. In other words, I don’t believe he’ll hurt your fantasy squad tonight, and there’s some upside in his back pocket. Playing up in pace vs. Texas Southern (as mentioned earlier) helps too.

Kashaun Hicks - Norfolk State - FD: $4,900 DK: $4,900

Hicks is a cheap filler to help round out your lineup. Similar to the write-up of his teammate, Bryant, Hicks enjoyed more minutes and subsequent production in the conference tournament. There’s reason to believe that he could keep that momentum in this competitive battle vs. Appalachian State. Hicks has notched five or more rebounds in six of his last seven outings, and App State ranks 266th in rebound rate.

Emmanuel Akot - Boise State - FD: N/A - DK: $4,8000

This is a DraftKings only play, but Akot seems underpriced over there. I’m more inclined to spend at the guard position while hunting for value at forward on this slate. Akot helps make that strategy a reality. He has seen 30+ minutes in two straight games, translating to a surge in production with 24 and 33 FP respectively. If he falls within that range tonight, it would represent a very nice return on investment.

Also Consider: Nana Opoku, Joirdon Karl Nicholas, Jericole Hellems (DK)
