For "bargains" on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower.
We have a short 4-game slate tonight, considering the games starting at 7:00 ET and later. I will outline the top five value picks within these games.
Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora ofnews trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.
Now onto the bargain plays:
1 - Monta Ellis – SG – Indiana (FanDuel Price: $6,200)
Ellis is technically over our $6000 value threshold, but he’s a very integral piece in lineup configuration tonight. George Hill and Rodney Stuckey have both been ruled out this evening, meaning Monta will see a ton of minutes and ball-handling responsibilities. If we factor in a competitive matchup against a Denver team that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency vs backcourt members, Ellis looks like a core play in all formats.
2 - Darrell Arthur – PF - Denver (FanDuel Price: $4,300)
Arthur has been seeing stable playing time as of late, usually hovering between 28-30 minutes. He has hit 26+ fantasy points in four of the past five games, and he looks like a satisfying value play for tonight’s short slate. This Denver-Indiana game is the only one without much blowout potential, so it makes sense to target several players from this game.
3 - Clint Capela – PF – Houston (FanDuel Price: $4,600)
Dwight Howard is highly questionable tonight, and I’m guessing they won’t push him in a very winnable matchup against the Lakers. Be sure to double check the injury news, as Clint Capela and Terrence Jones would be very good value selections (in an awesome matchup) if Howard is officially ruled out. Jones and Capela are the same price on FanDuel, and I’m leaning towards Capela if I had to choose, as he has been the more efficient fantasy producer this season.
4 - Beno Udrih – PG – Miami (FanDuel Price: $3,800)
Goran Dragic will continue to miss some time, meaning Udrih is Miami’s starting point guard for the time being. He had a confidence-boosting performance at Denver on Friday, hitting 33 fantasy points in 37 minutes. While the matchup at Oklahoma City seems tougher, let’s remember that the Thunder rank 22nd in defensive efficiency against opposing point guards. Udrih is a fine value selection in all formats tonight.
5 - CJ Miles – SF – Indiana (FanDuel Price: $4,400)
Even though he hasn’t inspired much confidence as of late, Miles looks like a safe value commodity tonight. Like I mentioned with Ellis earlier, Miles will also benefit from the absence of Stuckey and Hill. On top of that, Ian Mahinmi is also out, meaning the Pacers will likely stick to their “smaller rotations”, calling for even more minutes out of Miles. The matchup is great too, as Denver ranks 29th against the SG position (where Miles will see time with injuries).
