FanDuel Bargain Bin: Thursday

For bargains on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower.

We have a tight, four game slate this evening, but there are still a number of value plays to consider. I will be ranking the Top Five bargains on FanDuel, listed in order of priority to your lineups.

Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora of news trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.

Now onto the bargain plays:

1 - Alex Len – C – Phoenix (FanDuel Price: $5,300)

The matchup isn’t great against Miami, but Len is a necessary value play, especially when trying to spend up on Westbrook/Curry/Durant. Len’s minutes are safe in the starting lineup, as he has seen 34 minutes in each of the past two games, posting 47 and 30 FP respectively. The Suns already mentioned they will feature Len for the rest of the season, which is great considering his already appealing FP/min potential.

2 - Mirza Teletovic – PF – Phoenix (FanDuel Price: $4,700)

You can easily play Teletovic alongside his teammate Alex Len, and feel pretty confident about it. The short slate calls for this strategy, even despite a less than optimal matchup against Miami. Mirza has provided instant offense for Phoenix lately, averaging 26 minutes and 27 fantasy points off the bench over the past five games. Look for him to continue that pace, making him a solid value candidate to help round out your lineups.

3 - Harrison Barnes – SF – Golden State (FanDuel Price: $4,300)

If Andre Iguodala is out, Barnes would become an even stronger value play. However, he’s a solid pick regardless of Iggy’s status, seeing 35+ minutes starting for Golden State in this high-scoring matchup. He’s a nice complement to Kevin Durant at the small forward position, helping offset some of that expensive cost. Target with confidence.

4- Wesley Matthews – SG – Dallas (FanDuel Price: $4,500)

Matthews has been up and down all season, but he has actually caught a string of consistency lately. He is averaging a viable 26 fantasy points per contest over the past five, and this is one of his best matchups of the season: taking on a fast-paced Sacramento team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against opposing shooting guards.

5 - Deron Williams – PG – Dallas (FanDuel Price: $5,600)

A reasonable strategy is to pick either Westbrook or Curry (if he plays), then pivot to a value point guard to help squeeze in the other top picks at other positions. Deron Williams is the best aligned value pick, taking on a fast-paced Sacramento team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency against the point guard position. We have seen upside from D-Will several times this season, and the matchup at hand looks like a prime opportunity for another.
