I’m going to give you some fades as these players either should not be in your lineup or tread carefully if you want them on your FanDuel squad. We will also be updating the goaltending matchups at the bottom of t he column all season (up to the 7pm start times for most lineups) so check the column and Rotoworld’s daily blurbs for the latest updates.

Jonathan Bernier G (Toronto) - $6,700

Bernier actually played well last game as he beat the Hurricanes 3, making 31 saves but that was only his seventh win of the season and the season is three quarters over. Bernier returns to his home province but the Maple Leafs are a weak team these days and it could be bad in Montreal.

Mike Green D (Detroit) - $4,100

Green continues to be a major disappointment for the Red Wings with four goals and 21 points in 53 games this season. He has not picked up a point in his last seven games and the return of Niklas Kronwall to the lineup certainly does not help him on the power play as he is now on the second unit. He gets third unit time five-on-five so he is not a good play at this time.

Dylan Larkin RW (Detroit) - $5,800

Larkin's stats look great as he has 19 goals and 39 points  with a plus-23 rating but he has only one goal in his last seven games and he is seeing third line duty. He has been dropped from the power play and it appears that he has hit the proverbial wall. Larkin is going to be an excellent player but he is not worth looking at now.

Bobby Ryan RW (Ottawa) - $4,500

Ryan has 21 goals and 47 points this season but his play has been a bit rough of late as he has only two goals in his last nine contests with a horrible minus-nine rating. Ryan has not scored 30 goals since leaving the Ducks three seasons ago. He scored on Thursday so he may be pulling out of his slump but the Senators are in Western Canada to play the Flames and could be shut out again.

Gustav Nyquist LW (Detroit) - $5,000

It certainly looks like I'm picking on the Red Wings tonight but there are only four games and there are plenty of Detroit players who have been slumping of late. Nyquist has not found the back of the net in 11 games and is pointless in his last three. Hopefully this season is an anomaly as he has only 32 points in 61 games after picking up 102 points over two seasons in 139 games the last two years.

Jeff Carter C (Los Angeles) - $6,800

Carter finally scored for the first time in eight games Thursday but he has struggled of late. Carter has 15 goals and 42 points this season and while they are playing the lowly Sabres, Robin Lehner has been quite good this season since returning from an ankle injury. It could be a low scoring game so don't be surprised if Carter is held off the scoresheet.

Toronto (Jonathan Bernier) confirmed @ Montreal (Mike Condon) confirmed

Detroit (Petr Mrazek) confirmed @ Colorado (Semyon Varlamov) confirmed

Ottawa (Craig Anderson) @ Calgary (Joni Ortio)

Buffalo (Robin Lehner) @ Los Angeles (Jonathan Quick)
