Welcome to FanDuel Fades where we focus on players that we think you should avoid tonight.  Be sure to check out the list of probable goaltenders below as well.  We'll update it during the afternoon, so please keep that in mind.

Editor's Note: This is your chance to try FanDuel risk free! Sign up today and if you lose your first contest, you’ll be refunded the entry fee up to $10. Play now.

Gabriel Landeskog LW (Colorado) - $6,100

There's a lot of little things working against Landeskog tonight.  He has been cold lately with a goal and no assists in his last six games and he played on Tuesday, so fatigue is a factor.  The Avalanche will also be playing against the Kings in Los Angeles, so the matchup isn't ideal tonight either.

Dennis Wideman D (Calgary) - $4,500

Wideman has averaged just 1.5 FanDuel points per game this season, which means that he hasn't been a good bet most of the time in 2015-16, even at that price.  He's at least had strong patches this season, but he hasn't recorded a point in his last six games.

Ben Bishop G (Tampa Bay) - $8,700

It's looking like tonight's action will feature a lot of backup goaltenders and the Lightning will be part of that.  Bishop is the second most expensive goalie out of those healthy, but he's not projected to play tonight.

Ryan Callahan RW (Tampa Bay) - $4,200

Callahan has just one assist in his last 11 games.  He's not exactly having an offensively productive season overall though with five goals and 14 points in 47 contests.  He might be cheap, but that doesn't make him a good bet.

Mikael Backlund C (Calgary) - $5,800

With five goals and 22 points in 47 games, Backlund is having a decent season by his standards.  In terms of FanDuel points though, he's averaging just 2 per game this season, and that's not great for that price point.  For $6,400 you could get Nazem Kadri, for example, who is averaging 3 while Marcus Johansson is at 2.9 and goes for $5,700.  So while there's nothing particularly wrong with Backlund, he doesn't stack up favorably against the competition.

Shea Weber D (Nashville) - $5,800

This is a night where there's no real expensive defensemen available for selection, making Weber the third most pricey choice on the list.  I don't think he measures well against tonight's other options though.  The two defensemen above him, Victor Hedman ($6,300) and Mark Giordano ($6,000), aren't significantly more pricey and they've both been red hot lately.  Meanwhile there are cheaper options like Drew Doughty ($5,700), who is having a better season than Weber overall from a FanDuel perspective.
