There are just four games tonight and Philadelphia is the only team among them that played on Tuesday. Edmonton vs. Detroit will be an interesting game to watch as the Oilers are looking to build some momentum after two strong games over the weekend.
You can head here for the latest injury information and check below for tonight's probable goaltenders. Be sure to check back in later as we do update the probable goaltenders list during the afternoon.
James van Riemsdyk LW (Toronto) - $6,100
van Riemsdyk had 75 goals and 149 points in 2013 games with Toronto going into this season, but he had benefited from playing primarily with Phil Kessel. With Kessel gone, van Riemsdyk has two goals and no assists in five contests this season. That's not a terrible start under the circumstances, but he's still overvalued at his current price.
Steve Mason G (Philadelphia) - $8,300
Mason turned aside 30 of 32 shots last night, but he won't be asked to play in back-to-back games. With Michal Neuvirth scheduled to get the start, picking Mason tonight would be an unfortunate oversight.
Matt Duchene C (Colorado) - $6,900
Duchene has a lot of talent and has enjoyed some great seasons, but his career thus far has been plagued by inconsistency. He took a step backwards last season with 21 goals and 55 points in 82 contests and he only has one point so far in 2015-16. He certainly has the potential to bounce back, but given his price point, I'd recommend taking a wait-and-see approach to him.
Mark Streit D (Philadelphia) - $4,800
The Philadelphia Flyers have gotten off to a quiet start offensively and that's hurt Streit, who has one goal and no assists in five games. Even at the age of 37, Streit is still an effective offensive defenseman, but this will be a rough game for him to bounce back in. The Flyers are playing in their second game in as many days and they're up against the Boston Bruins, which have been solid since Zdeno Chara's return.
Claude Giroux C (Philadelphia) - $7,900
It shouldn't be too long before Giroux breaks out after a lukewarm start to the season, but I have my reservations about the chances of it happening tonight. As noted with Streit, tonight isn't the best time to bet on Philadelphia's offense and that obviously impacts Giroux as well. I like Giroux, but at that price I want to feel like I'm getting a safe bet and that's just not what I see him as tonight.
Patrice Bergeron C (Boston) - $7,000
Under normal circumstances, I'd have no problem recommending Bergeron today. However, he missed Boston's Wednesday morning skate for personal reasons and is questionable tonight as a result. We might not know anything more than that until literally minutes before the game, so it would be safer to pick someone else tonight.
