FanDuel NBA Bargains: Saturday

by Spencer Limbach

When looking at bargains on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower. I’ll be ranking these picks by priority to your lineups for tonight’s eight game slate starting at 7:00 ET.

Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora of news trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.

Now onto the bargain plays.

1 - Rajon Rondo – PG – Chicago Bulls (FanDuel Price: $5,900)

Rondo’s salary refuses to move even though he has been exceeding expectations as of late. Take advantage while you still can. The matchup against Dallas isn’t necessarily great, but Rondo will see a substantial boost with Dwyane Wade not playing tonight. It’s not like he needs the help to post another solid fantasy line.

2 - Nikola Mirotic – PF – Chicago (FanDuel Price: $4,200)

The last time Dwyane Wade missed a game, Mirotic ended up with 37 fantasy points in 35 minutes. Wade has been ruled out tonight, and Mirotic will likely start at SF, pushing Butler to the SG position. Even though Dallas plays down in pace, they rank 24th in defensive efficiency against small forwards and dead last in rebound rate. That creates and excellent spot for a Mirotic to pile up fantasy production in an expanded role.

3 - Jae Crowder – SF – Boston (FanDuel Price: $5,300)

I said it yesterday, and I’ll say it again: Crowder is just too cheap. His price reflects the minutes-limit placed on him coming back from injury. That restriction has since been lifted, and Crowder will see his usual 35+ minute workload. The matchup is excellent to boot, going against a Philadelphia team that ranks 28th in defensive efficiency against small forwards.

4 - Andrew Wiggins – SF – Minnesota (FanDuel Price: $6,000)

Wiggins is another small forward who is simply underpriced. There’s a decision to make here, as you may want to get exposure to Jimmy Butler or Kevin Durant instead of Wiggins. However, if you can’t float the extra salary required to make that happen, Wiggins is a nice fallback option. After a couple of poor shooting performances, he has bounced back with 34 and 30 fantasy points respectively in the past two. I’m expecting him to be within that range again tonight.

5 - Jahlil Okafor – C – Philadelphia (FanDuel Price: $4,400)

Okafor recently had his minutes-restriction lifted, and he’s underpriced as a result. The fact that Joel Embiid is resting tonight also adds some extra usage and rebounding responsibilities to his resume. The matchup looks good too, facing a Boston team that ranks dead last in rebound rate. There are several quality options at center tonight (Whiteside, Plumlee), but Okafor is a solid bargain pick if you need salary relief.

Dennis Schroder – PG – Atlanta (FanDuel Price: $5,900)

Andrew Harrison – PG – Memphis (FanDuel Price: $4,300)

Troy Daniels – SG – Memphis (FanDuel Price: $3,700)
