FanDuel NBA Bargains: Saturday

by Spencer Limbach
Updated On: October 4, 2018, 4:04 pm ET

When looking at bargains on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower. I’ll be ranking these picks by priority to your lineups for tonight’s six game slate starting at 7:00 ET.

Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora of news trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.

Now onto the bargain plays.

1 - Tim Hardaway Jr. – SG – Atlanta (FanDuel Price: $3,900)

Hardaway is one of the better value plays of the day. It’s easy to plug him in for near minimum salary, especially considering he’s seeing 30+ minutes per game routinely. That has led to a solid 23 fantasy point average over the past three contests, something you would be content with at this cheap price.

2 - Nikola Jokic – PF – Denver (FanDuel Price: $5,900)

Denver Coach Mike Malone has made good on his comments to get Jokic more involved. That has translated to 30+ fantasy points in four of the past five games. There’s a good chance he’ll surpass that benchmark against a New York team that ranks 22nd against opposing frontcourts. Pair that with low opportunity cost at the power forward positon, and Jokic becomes an easy, comfortable pick.

3 - Gary Harris – SG – Denver (FanDuel Price: $4,800)

Harris returned to the lineup from an extended absence to pour in 38 fantasy points in 32 minutes on Thursday. Apparently we don’t have to worry about restrictions or limitations of any kind. That makes him a value candidate with profit potential against a New York team that ranks 24th in defensive efficiency against opposing shooting guards.

4 - Wilson Chandler – SF – Denver (FanDuel Price: $6,000)

As you can see, Denver represents a nice landing spot for value tonight. This is a very good game environment in a competitive home draw vs New York with a 215 over/under. The Knicks rank 22nd in defensive efficiency against small forwards, which helps Chandler’s fantasy cause.

5 - Thabo Sefolosha – SF – Atlanta (FanDuel Price: $4,500)

My preference is to go with Wilson Chandler and Andrew Wiggins at small forward. However, if you need some more value to make other positions work, Thabo Sefolosha is a suitable pivot downward. He had a rough outing last night, but previously averaging 28 FPPG over four games since being promoted to the starting lineup.

ALSO CONSIDER

JaVale McGee – C – Golden State (FanDuel Price: $3,700)

If Zaza Pachulia is out, you can consider JaVale McGee as a punt play. Even in that situation, he probably wouldn’t play more than 15-18 minutes. You are then just hoping for excellent efficiency to post near 20 fantasy points. His salary allows for upside at other positions.

Brandon Jennings – PG – New York (FanDuel Price: $5,000)

If Derrick Rose (questionable) misses this game, Jennings becomes an easy value pick in a great matchup. He would rival Hardaway Jr. for the top spot in these rankings if Rose does not play.
