FanDuel NBA Bargains: Sunday

When looking at bargains on FanDuel, typically we’ll focus on players who are priced at $6,000 or lower. I’ll be ranking these picks by priority to your lineups for tonight’s five game slate starting at 6:00 ET.

Just a quick note that these player picks were organized early in the day. For the NBA, there is usually a plethora of news trickling out through the afternoon, which could open up some more value plays. Be sure to keep posted with the NBA Headlines & Injuries section, as the wonderful contributors over there will break down the DFS consequences of every piece of news.

Now onto the bargain plays.

1 - Trevor Booker – PF – Brooklyn (FanDuel Price: $5,800)

If you look at the game log, you may conclude that he’s inconsistent. While that may be true, he’s an easy fantasy commodity to figure out. You just play the matchups. He was brutal in tough draws vs Orlando and San Antonio. Otherwise, he has posted 32+ FP in his other four recent games against Washington, Denver, Houston, and LA Lakers. He should achieve that mark against a Philly team that ranks 20th vs frontcourt players and 21st in rebound rate. Target with confidence.

2 - Sergio Rodriguez – PG – Philadelphia (FanDuel Price: $4,800)

Rodriguez has been up-and-down as of late, but an elite matchup against Brooklyn (26th vs PGs) in one of the best game environments of the day (215 over/under, 2 point spread). Due to that, he’s certainly worth a look on this short slate, considering the relatively lack of value at the point guard position.

3 - Robert Covington – SF – Philadelphia (FanDuel Price: $5,000)

There are actually several viable bargains at the small forward position. Covington is the one I feel most confident in. He has a very good floor/ceiling combination to target within this short slate. The matchup is exceptional in an elite game environment against a Brooklyn team that ranks DEAD LAST against opposing small forwards.

4 – Sean Kilpatrick – SG – Brooklyn (FanDuel Price: $5,400)

If you haven’t caught on by now, this Brooklyn-Philadelphia matchup is one to target for fantasy purposes. Both teams play bad defense, and that extends to the backcourt, where the Sixers rank 22nd against opposing backcourt members. The shooting guard position is pretty “bleh” tonight, so I’ll side with Kilpatrick’s upside in a favorable draw. Jeremy Lin is still limited, so Kilpatrick will need to run the offense when he’s off the court.

5 - Terrence Jones – PF – New Orleans (FanDuel Price: $4,800)

Anthony Davis is questionable tonight. If he’s out, Terrence Jones would easily vault to the top of tonight’s bargain rankings. In that case, he would see heavy minutes and a much higher usage rate. You could even consider using Jones in a tournament if Davis ends up playing. Jones is a FP/minute beast who would thrive with more playing time regardless of a tricky matchup at San Antonio.

Jahlil Okafor – C – Philadelphia (FanDuel Price: $5,100)

I would rather go with Okafor’s teammate, Joel Embiid, at the center position. However, if you can’t absorb Embiid’s salary, Okafor is a fine pivot downward. He doesn’t have a ton of upside while starting alongside Embiid; however, he only needs 25 fantasy points to reach value at this cheap salary. This is an exceptional matchup, and he has surpassed that mark in five straight.

Bojan Bogdanovic – SF – Brooklyn (FanDuel Price: $4,600)

Targeting more players from this Philly-Brooklyn matchup, Bogdanovic is a decent value filler at the small forward position. He is averaging a serviceable 24 FPPG over the past seven, and he should be within that range against a Philly team that ranks 22nd against small forwards.
