FanDuel NBA Plays: Saturday

Despite this being the NFL's Divisional Playoff round, we have a nice eight-game slate to work with for our NBA FanDuel contests.  With weekends being a popular rest day for some teams, be sure you check the NBA Starting Lineups Page to ensure you selections are playing.

Point Guard

Ish Smith, Philadelphia 76ers, $6,900 - Ish is probably going to see a price bump soon, so now is a good time to continue to take advantage of his sub-$7,000 price tag. He's topped 38 FD points in three of his last four games, and four of his last five games. The 76ers are only 5.5-point underdogs tonight and he'll face off with Damian Lillard, who plays zero defense.

Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers, $9,700 - I was very torn on whether to write up Paul or Damian Lillard, and I honestly love all three of Ish, Paul and Lillard tonight. Paul has put the Clippers on his back with Blake Griffin injured, and has at least 40 FD points in eight of his last ten games. The Clippers have a team total of 110 points and will face one of the league's worst defense in Sacramento, so he's in a great spot tonight.

Also Consider - Stephen Curry, Mario Chalmers (if Mike Conley out)

Shooting Guard

Rodney Hood, Utah Jazz, $5,100 - He's coming off of a poor game, but this is a great bounce-back spot for Hood tonight. He'll continue to pick up extra offensive usage with Derrick Favors likely out again, and the matchup is premier against the Lakers. He produced 29 FD points against the Lakers just a few games and is a great value option tonight.

Avery Bradley, Boston Celtics, $4,900 - Bradley is working himself back into form after returning from injury. He's played much better the last two games and is playing big minutes. His price is still suppressed due to his injury, and the Wizards are one of the best teams to roster wings against. They are 27th in DVP against SG and Bradley only needs 25 FD points to hit value.

Small Forward

Gordon Hayward, Utah Jazz, $7,600 - The Jazz draw one of the top matchups on the board as they'll face the terrible Lakers' defense. Derrick Favors is expected to be out another game so he should continue to shoulder extra offensive burden. He's been very dependable recently and is in a great spot to continue his recent hot streak.

Jae Crowder, Boston Celtics, $6,400 - As mentioned with Bradley, attacking the Wizards defense with opposing SG and SF has been very profitable this season. They are 29th in DVP against SF and Crowder has averaged 14.5 PPG, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals against the Wizards this season.

Power Forward

Thaddeus Young, Brooklyn Nets, $6,900 - The Nets could easily get hammered tonight, but the Nets' big men have a great matchup against Atlanta's soft interior. The Hawks are dead last in rebounding differential and Young brings 40 FD point upside at under $7,000.

Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks, $6,800 - Speaking of 40 FD point upside at under $7,000, Porzingis is in a nice spot today. The matchup isn't ideal on paper, but Carmelo Anthony will be out so there will be extra usage to go around. He's topped 33 FD points in four straight games, and Zach Randolph doesn't like to venture outside of the paint so he should get open jump shots.

DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings, $10,700 - You'll want some exposure to this Sacramento/Clippers game as it checks in with a total of 215 points. The Clippers have struggled against centers all season long and are 20th in DVP against the position. Meanwhile, Cousins is on a tear and just put 58 FD points on the Utah Jazz, who feature one of the NBA's best interior defenses.

Also Consider - Brook Lopez, Jahlil Okafor
