FanDuel NBA Plays: Saturday

I’m here to break down tonight’s eight-game FanDuel NBA slate starting at 7:00 ET. Keep in mind that this column was created earlier in the day, meaning injury information could change the fantasy landscape throughout the afternoon. Obviously you’ll want to keep track of any developments through Rotoworld’s NBA Headlines & Injuries Feed as we move closer to tip-off.

With that, let’s dive into each position while mining for the best value and overall plays in this slate.

De’Aaron Fox – Sacramento (FanDuel Price: $5,900)

Fox’s minutes have been more solidified in the 30-33 range, leading to a pleasant 31 FPPG mark over the past three. A home matchup vs Dallas (27th in defensive efficiency vs opposing point guards) gives Fox a prime opportunity for another strong performance. Sure, I like Stephen Curry and Chris Paul in their respective matchups, but pairing multiple values at point guard (then rolling with Harden/Beal/etc) seems like the +EV move here.

Also Consider: Ricky Rubio, Rajon Rondo, Stephen Curry

James Harden – Houston (FanDuel Price: $11,500)

As mentioned in the previous write-up, I’m looking to roster Harden and Beal in the same lineup. The value at point guard, power forward, and center makes that possible. Harden has a delicious matchup against a Cleveland team that ranks 23rd vs shooting guards and 27th in overall defensive efficiency. Eric Gordon has been ruled out for Houston, meaning Harden could see a few more offensive looks (as if he didn’t get enough already). A primetime nationally televised draw ups the ante as well.

Also Consider: Bradley Beal, Evan Fournier

Gerald Green – Houston (FanDuel Price: $4,600)

Eric Gordon has been ruled out tonight, meaning Gerald Green should see around 30 minutes for Houston. He’s a solid offensive player with a fantasy-friendly game and scoring upside to boot. There should be plenty of room for him to retain value around 23 FP considering the juicy matchup and 231 over/under.

Also Consider: Jimmy Butler, LeBron James

Kelly Olynyk – Miami (FanDuel Price: $4,700)

Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out tonight, which really opens things up for Miami’s frontcourt. Olynyk, Johnson, and Adebayo all stand to benefit, and each of them represent fantasy viability this evening. Olynyk has been on a nice run with 27+ FP in four of his past five, and Whiteside’s absence stabilizes the floor/ceiling combination. You can safely roster all three of these Miami frontcourt members in the same lineup, allowing you to reach for upside with Harden, Beal, Butler, etc.

Also Consider: James Johnson, Nikola Mirotic, Ryan Anderson (value filler)

Bam Adebayo – Miami (FanDuel Price: $3,800)

As mentioned in the previous write-up, Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out for Miami. Bam Adebayo should see 25-30 minutes as a result. Adebayo carries some impressive upside, and he finally has a clear path to display it. Speaking to that point, Bam has received 25+ minutes in five games since the beginning of January. He’s averaging a noteworthy 33.4 FPPG in those contests, including a brilliant 40 FP (15 pts, 13 reb, 6 ast) mark at Philly last night. Roster him with confidence for this near-minimum salary.

Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns
