I hope everyone enjoyed the All-Star break last week. With that being said, it’s time to get back into a normal routine.
Tonight we have a solid six-game slate and a lot of options to choose from. Let’s get into my top plays for FanDuel.
Mike Conley: $8,000 (vs. Phoenix Suns)
I never thought I’d be interested in Conley when priced over $8,000, but I really like this matchup for him tonight. Memphis should be able to keep the pace down for the most part, but it’s still going to be a much faster pace than they typically play at, and Conley has exceled in pace up spots this season. In 63 minutes against the Suns, Conley is averaging 1.43 fantasy points per minute, and he has a 30.4% usage rate against the Suns this season. Plus, Eric Bledsoe is ranked 54th out of 87 qualified point guards in defensive real plus minus coming in. Conley has gone over 40 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and I like his chances of keeping that going tonight.
Other Options: John Wall, D’Angelo Russell
Dwyane Wade: $8,000 (vs. Denver Nuggets)
Shooting guard is absolutely loaded on Tuesday, as two of my favorite plays on the slate come from the position. I’m not writing up Nicolas Batum, but I love his situation tonight as well. That said, Wade has been playing great over the last month, as he has over 40 fantasy points in three of his last six games. Over the last four weeks, Wade is averaging 1.28 fantasy points per minute with a 31.8% usage rate. Denver allows the third-most fantasy points per game this season, and this is a nice pace up spot for the Bulls overall. With the second highest implied team total on the NBA odds board, I love this spot for Wade tonight.
Andre Iguodala: $4,500 (vs. Washington Wizards)
Outside of playing the top two priced studs, I like the value plays at small forward on tonight’s slate. This game has the highest implied total and the Warriors have the highest implied team total this evening. I like the idea of loading up on this game, and getting some cheap exposure is always a good thing at a weak position. Iguodala has at least 20 fantasy points in five straight games, so he presents us with a solid floor for this price tag.
Frank Kaminsky: $5,900 (vs. LA Lakers)
One of the things I love to do on FanDuel is take advantage of player position eligibility. What do I mean by that? Kaminsky is listed at power forward on FanDuel, but he’s actually playing center for the Hornets right now. The Lakers rank dead last against centers this season, and with him being listed at the wrong position on FanDuel, we actually get to play multiple centers on tonight’s slate. If Zeller ends up playing, that does hurt the value of Kaminsky and I would likely pivot off him. Still, he’s been playing great in this starting role, and he should be able to keep it going against the Lakers tonight.
Andre Drummond: $8,100 (vs. Portland Trail Blazers)
I love the three options at the top tonight, and if you’re playing cash games, I would go with Rudy Gobert. I don’t typically play cash games though, so my favorite play at center is Drummond. I like the upside for Drummond in this spot, but I also understand the lower floor when playing him in general. Portland has struggled with big men all season, and even with the addition of Nurkic, they’re still ranked in the bottom half of the league. This is a pace up game for the Pistons, and Drummond went for 28 points and 14 rebounds against Portland earlier this season.
