GOALTENDERS

Make sure to check the RotoGrinders NHL Starting Goalies Page to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting prior to game time.

Jake Allen – St. Louis Blues - $9,900 – Jake Allen was disappointed with his play on Wednesday night, but will take the net with a 2.10 GAA and .928 SV% in his 16 starts this season. The 25-year-old netminder looks to be slowly winning the starting job away from Brian Elliott and has posted a 5-2-1 record with a 1.96 GAA in eight starts at the Scottrade Center. With Columbus owning just a 10-14-0 record on the season, he’s a top tier goalie option in all formats.

Others: Mike Condon, Braden Holtby, Marc-Andre Fleury, Pekka Rinne

Centers

Matt Duchene – Colorado Avalanche - $8,500 – Duchene saw his seven-game point streak come to an end on Wednesday, but the talented center has been on fire. He’s posted ten goals and seven assists in ten games during the month of November and is clearly loving life playing alongside both Gabriel Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon on Colorado’s top forward line. He’s a major weapon on the point of the Avalanche’s top power-play unit and he should find plenty of scoring opportunities against this Winnipeg game that is by far the most penalized team in the NHL.

Patrick Marleau – San Jose Sharks - $7,300 – Marleau has picked up a pair of points in each of the last three games and the veteran center has a terrific matchup on tap tonight against a Calgary Flames team that has allowed more goals against than any other team in the NHL this season. Marleau has scored four goals and grabbed four assists over the last six games and sees plenty of playing time alongside Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski on the Sharks’ top power-play unit.

Others: Sidney Crosby, Leon Draisaitl, Nicklas Backstrom, Tomas Plekanec, Mike Fisher, Paul Stastny, Tyler Seguin, Nathan MacKinnon, Kyle Turris

Wingers

Vladimir Tarasenko – St. Louis Blues - $8,200 – Tarasenko has been quiet in each of the last two games, but he’s an elite option on the wing tonight against a Columbus team that has allowed 3.04 GA/G this season. Tarasenko has already scored seven goals and added three assists in nine home games this season and racked up 20 goals, 20 assists and a +18 in 38 games at the Scottrade Center last season.

Artemi Panarin – Chicago Blackhawks - $4,900 – We’ve seen Panarin’s price slowly rise all season, but he’s still simply too cheap to ignore at just $4.9K. The former KHL star has hit the ground running at the NHL level, scoring seven goals and dishing out 16 assists over his first 23 career games. He has the luxury of playing alongside Patrick Kane both at even strength and on the Hawks’ top power-play unit and is a rock solid value option even in a fairly difficult matchup against the Los Angeles Kings.

Devante Smith-Pelly – Montreal Canadiens - $4,800 – The Brendan Gallagher injury was a big blow to the Montreal Canadiens, but also a huge boost to the fantasy value of Devante Smith-Pelly. Pelly jumped into Gallagher’s spot on the top line alongside Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec and immediately scored a pair of goals in his first game in that role. With a struggling New Jersey Devils team coming to the Bell Centre tonight, he’s another very strong value play this evening.

Others: Alexander Ovechkin, Joe Pavelski, Phil Kessel, James Neal, T.J. Oshie, Jamie Benn, Alexander Steen, Bobby Ryan, Patrick Kane, Tyler Toffoli

Defense

Kris Letang – Pittsburgh Penguins - $6,100 – The Penguins should have plenty of success in the offensive end tonight against the Edmonton Oilers, and Letang offers some very reasonable exposure to super-starts Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Letang has dished out nine assists in 11 games this month and picked up an assist against the Oilers in their only previous meeting this season. He’s a staple on the point of the Penguins’ lethal #1 power-play unit and should have success against Edmonton’s mediocre penalty kill.

Ryan Suter – Minnesota Wild - $4,300 – Suter had a four-game scoring streak snapped last night, but the workhorse defenseman is simply way underpriced. He’ll benefit from an uptick in pace tonight as the Dallas Stars are rated as the fasted paced team in the NHL and Suter has posted 20 points in 21 games on the season. He’s averaging nearly 28 minutes of ice-time per game this season and quarterbacks the team’s #1 power-play unit.

Others: John Klingberg, Brent Burns, Erik Karlsson, Tyson Barrie, Shea Weber, Kevin Shattenkirk, John Carlson, P.K. Subban
