It is a short slate in the National Hockey League this evening with just three games scheduled. The Colorado Avalanche, Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings are your favorites, and none of the teams in action are playing on consecutive nights.

Make sure to check the RotoGrinders NHL Starting Goalies Page to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting prior to game time.

John Gibson ($7,800) or Frederik Andersen ($7,700), Anaheim Ducks – It is tough night to trust a cash game goalie, but I am going with whoever starts in the Anaheim Ducks crease.  Both Gibson and Andersen are trustworthy in net and very reasonably priced. The Anaheim Ducks are playing solid hockey these days, going 6-3-1 in their last ten games. On the flip side, the Minnesota Wild have lost four straight games and they have not been the same team on the road. Look for a win and at least 25 saves from the Ducks tender tonight.

Other Goalies To Target (Cash Games) – Semyon Varlamov, Petr Mrazek

Other Goalies To Target (Tournaments) – Brian Elliott, Devan Dubnyk, Robin Lehner

Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks, $7,200 – Getzlaf has started to heat up offensively with points in five consecutive games. Getzlaf has struggled at times this season, but he has been very consistent on home ice, producing 19 points in 23 contests. Look for Getzlaf to find the score sheet tonight against a struggling Minnesota Wild team.

Other Centers to Target (Cash Games) – Henrik Zetterberg, Nathan MacKinnon, Paul Stastny, Pavel Datsyuk, Jori Lehtera, Ryan O’Reilly

Other Centers to Target (Tournaments) – David Backes, Jack Eichel, Mikael Granlund

Vladimir Tarasenko, St. Louis Blues, $8,300 – On a short slate without any huge favorites, it becomes a little more difficult to build a cash game lineup with players we can trust. With the being said, Tarasenko is one of the most consistent scorers in the game and he is definitely a safe option in your cash games tonight. The 24-year-old Russian phenom has multi-goal upside on a nightly basis.

Evander Kane, Buffalo Sabres, $6,300 – Kane has looked very good of late, generating four points and 23 shots on goal in his last four contests. The Colorado Avalanche are the NHL’s worst possession team and that means Kane should have an abundance of scoring chances in this game.

Justin Abdelkader, Detroit Red Wings, $4,700 – The game between the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues will be a very exciting one and we could see a bunch of goals. Skating on the Red Wings’ top line and number one power play unit, Abdelkader should see plenty of scoring opportunities.

Other Wingers to Target (Cash Games) – Zach Parise, Corey Perry, Alexander Steen, Gustav Nyquist, Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Duchene

Other Wingers to Target (Tournaments) – Dylan Larkin, Jason Pominville, Troy Brouwer, Jarome Iginla, Sam Reinhart, Robby Fabbri

Shea Theodore, Anaheim Ducks, $3,200 - Without a clear standout on defense tonight, I think it makes sense to get some salary relief and roster Anaheim Ducks’ power play quarterback Shea Theodore. The 2013 first round pick has points in three straight games and he is full of offensive upside. At $3,200, he is practically a must play in cash games this evening.

Other Defensemen to Target (Cash Games) – Kevin Shattenkirk, Tyson Barrie, Ryan Suter, Sami Vatanen

Other Defensemen to Target (Tournaments) – Niklas Kronwall, Rasmus Ristolainen
