NBA Friday is back with a big slate of games tonight. Always keep an eye on the news with the Rotogrinders App to make sure you are setting the best roster you can. Let's dig in deeper now and find some top plays at each position.

Let's get into some of my top plays for FanDuel and DraftKings tonight.

Point Guard

Chris Paul (vs. Los Angeles Clippers)

Chris Paul should be on everyone’s radar tonight with the injury to league MVP James Harden. Paul has had an extended rest, having been suspended for the last two games. Without Harden in the lineup last season, CP3 racked up a 29% usage rate, 52% assist rate and even kicked in with extra rebounding. He gets a major upgrade in the Mike D’Antoni point guard-friendly system. If you ran this exact same slate over and over hundreds of times, you would find Chris Paul and Steph Curry would be your leading scorers at this position more times than anyone else. Because I think Curry defers some offense to Kevin Durant tonight, I am leaning to Chris Paul as my go-to point guard.

Others to Consider: Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry

Shooting Guard

Zach LaVine (vs. Charlotte)

Zach LaVine has been incredible this year on the offensive end. He’s taking his game to a new level; he hasn’t had a game below 38.1 FanDuel points per game yet this season. His usage rate sits at an absurd 33%. He averages 1.24 DraftKings points per minute and that number doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon. With Kris Dunn being injured, he is locked in to plenty of minutes with a ton of field-goal attempts and tonight he gets to take on the wonderful defense of Kemba Walker. I still think his price tag is too cheap on both sites and I plan on playing him on both of my DFS teams.

Others to Consider: Jimmy Butler, Eric Gordon

Small Forward

Jabari Parker (vs. Charlotte)

Jabari Parker averages about one FanDuel point per minute with his new team this season. The minutes should rise tonight with Bobby Portis (28 minutes per game) being sidelined. Parker is second on this team in usage rate and that was with Portis around. Now, Parker will get plenty of extra run at the power forward position with very limited options behind him. This game with Charlotte tonight features a 225.5 total and has a very sneaky opportunity to be a shootout.

Others to Consider: Nikola Mirotic, Nicolas Batum

Power Forward

Tobias Harris (vs. Houston)

Tobias Harris is averaging 1.07 DraftKings points per game this year, which is a huge number considering that he’s playing a phenomenal 37.5 minutes per game. The Los Angeles Clippers have a fantastic matchup tonight against the Houston Rockets, and a game that has a close four-point spread and 218.5 total. While Chris Paul will take on extra offensive responsibility for Houston, the injuries to James Harden and other Rockets are going to force guys like Gerald Green and Carmelo Anthony to play more minutes. These are guys that Tobias Harris can take advantage of when they are on defense.

Others to Consider: Anthony Davis, Draymond Green

Center

Julius Randle (vs. Brooklyn)

New Orleans is an offensive juggernaut this season and it is reflective in the Las Vegas lines as the Pelicans hold the highest projected team total tonight on the slate. Julius Randle is only playing roughly 23.5 minutes per game this year, but he’s turned that into 18.7 points per game with nine rebounds. He has the third highest usage rate on this team. This matchup against Brooklyn represents an opportunity for Julius to build on these numbers, and his salary is at a very affordable price-point on both sites.

Others to Consider: Clint Capela, DeAndre Jordan
