It's a nine-game night in the NBA this Monday, leaving plenty of DFS value to mined. From guys you almost must target to potential punt plays, we're here to break down the biggest values to be found. Let's start with a quick look at Vegas' expectations for tonight's slate:
Matchup | Over/Under | Spread |
Blazers at Pacers | 218.5 | Pacers -4.5 |
Hawks at Sixers | 230.5 | Sixers -11.0 |
Kings at Heat | 226.5 | Heat -8.5 |
Nets at Knicks | 216 | Knicks -2.0 |
Warriors at Bulls | 229 | Warriors -11.0 |
Raptors at Bucks | 223 | Raptors -1.0 |
Lakers at Wolves | 238.5 | Wolves -1.0 |
Mavs at Spurs | 214.5 | Spurs -7.5 |
Pelicans at Nuggets | 230 | Nuggets -9.5 |
The over/under for tonight's Lakers vs. Wolves game is 238.5 combined points scored. There are two more games with over/unders above 230 points, the Pelicans vs. Nuggets (233) and Hawks vs. Sixers (230.5). It's a testament to the new reality of today's NBA with lightning-quick pace, small-ball lineups and previously-unheard-of score totals. I'm still taking the unders. Let's dive into tonight's DFS plays!
DRAFT Bargains
It's impossible to call Stephen Curry (DRAFT projection: 45.9) a true 'bargain' but I don't understand how he's ranked below Ben Simmons tonight. Both players have fantastic matchups with Simmons and the Sixers facing the Hawks' atrocious defense, but Curry and the Warriors get to play the Bulls. We're talking about a two-time MVP at the peak of his powers, lighting up opponents with a history-making 5+ triples in seven straight games...I'm not betting against him. Especially with Kris Dunn injured and Cameron Payne futilely trying to defend Steph.
JaVale McGee has averaged 35.8 fantasy points this season and I'm not discouraged by the matchup vs. Karl-Anthony Towns tonight. The over/under of 238.5 is the highest I can recollect, and I'll be stacking Lakers in at least one tournament.
Jabari Parker hasn't erupted since Bobby Portis (knee) went down, though he did rack up 18 points, eight boards, three assists, two blocks and one steal on Saturday. That came vs. the Hawks' non-existent defense, of course, but I'm still bullish on him as the 10th-ranked forward in DRAFT tonight. I'll take him over Paul Millsap every time.
FanDuel Bargains
Mitchell Robinson (C, $3,500) is still available at a rock-bottom price. It's unclear if coach David Fizdale will start him again tonight vs. the Nets, but there's a good chance -- and even if he comes off the bench, he only needs 17.5 fantasy points to hit 5x value. I'll take those odds.
Ryan Arcidiacono (PG, $3,900) -- This is the first time, and possibly the last time, that I'll recommend Arcidiacono. The Bulls are desperate for playmakers, though, and he's been dropping dimes in a hurry with 11 in his past two games. He's averaging 27.0 minutes in Chicago's past two games and could benefit if this turns into a blowout vs. the Warriors, so there's some matchup-related upside here.
