DRAFT is back for another season of quick and exciting daily fantasy action. Their DFS platform offers poolies with a chance to participate in a format that most of us have grown very accustomed to over the years. You can compete in a live snake draft in which the participants take a player with each pick. Unlike other DFS games, this gives you the opportunity to use your knowledge to craft a team that no one else will have because the players you select cannot be chosen by your competition.
The draft is quick as you are allotted just 30 seconds per pick and you take five players. Your team is comprised of three forwards, a defenseman and a goalie.
Your strategy can be dictated by the positions being selected ahead of you. For instance, if you are going last and everyone else has a goaltender then you can wait until your last pick to make that selection. Of course, selecting players going up against weaker competition or players who are riding hot streaks are always popular strategies as well.

Forward Rankings
Lots of very good forwards on Sunday with the Tampa Bay duo of Kucherov and Stamkos leading the way. If you can get the Flames line of Monahan, Gaudreau and Lindholm, they could lead you to victory. Getzlaf has only three assists this season but has been hurt and has only played three games. Eichel has played well in California but could be tired in back-to-back games.
Defenseman Rankings
Hedman is tops on this Sunday and should be grabbed earlier as Giordano and Lindholm may be a bit of a drop off although the latter two are averaging better than Hedman in fantasy in the early going.
Goaltending Rankings
There are only three games and the backups are playing in half the contests. Look for Tampa Bay, Calgary and Anaheim to win and take the respective goalies. I like Domingue best, with Miller and Rittich following. You can wait to take a goalie until the final round.
Keep in mind that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL).
Louis Domingue (Tampa Bay) - G - $7,600 FanDuel, $7.500 Draft Kings
Hampus Lindholm (Anaheim) - D - $4,500 FanDuel, $5,100 Draft Kings
Neal Pionk (New York Rangers) - D - $3,900 FanDuel, $3,800 Draft Kings
Mika Zibanejad (New York Rangers) - C - $6,400 FanDuel, $5,700 Draft Kings
Yanni Gourde (Tampa Bay) - W - $5,400 FanDuel, $5,400 Draft Kings
Matthew Tkachuk (Calgary) - W - $6,200 FanDuel, $6,200 Draft Kings
There are not a lot of choices in goal but Tampa Bay has a top team and are considered Stanley Cup contenders so going with Domingue makes sense. Pionk has been a healthy scratch this season but had three assists in his last game. Lindholm is off to a great start with two goals and five assists in eight games. Zibanejad has only two goals and four points but had a goal and an assist in his last game. Gourde and Tkachuk are solid wingers.
