Jake Allen G (St. Louis) - $8,400 FanDuel, $8,200 DraftKings
A lot of backups are going on Sunday in the four games and with St. Louis at home to Buffalo, it seems that Jake Allen is the top choice in net. He is 16-6-2 this season with a 2.56 GAA but in his last ten games his GAA is 2.16. He is hot at this time and is a strong pick in DFS.
Ryan Suter D (Minnesota) - $5,000 FanDuel, $5,000 DraftKings
Suter has a goal four points in his last 10 games but chips in with plenty of shots (26) as well as some blocks (15) so that adds to his value. He has 15 points this season in 28 games and for the money, is a good pick on the blueline.
Tim Heed D (San Jose) - $3,600 FanDuel, $3,000 DraftKings
Heed returned to action on Saturday after missing five games with an upper body injury. He had an assist in his return to give him three goals and nine points in 19 games. He has been a better point producer this season than Brent Burns who is the highest priced blueliner Sunday and for the money, he is worth it at this time.
Connor McDavid C (Edmonton) - $8,900 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings
McDavid makes his only appearance to his hometown as the Newmarket, Ont. native will try to shine in front of family and friends. He faces the Maple Leafs backup netminder in Curtis McElhinney and that won’t hurt his cause. He has 35 points in 29 games this season as well as 13 in his last 10 as he is on a four game points streak. A must start on Sunday.
Jason Zucker W (Minnesota) - $6,300 FanDuel, $6,100 DraftKings
Zucker has points in seven of his last eight games and is currently tops in points on the Wild with 24, one ahead of Eric Staal. He is playing with Charlie Coyle and Mikko Koivu on the Wild’s top line and they could give the Sharks fits on Sunday.
Milan Lucic W (Edmonton) - $5,600 FanDuel, $5,300 DraftKings
It’s not the worst idea in the world to take the whole line so if you are inclined to take McDavid, then Lucic (and even Jesse Puljujarvi at $4,100 in FanDuel and $3,700 in DraftKings) is a smart move. Lucic has been scoring of late with two goals and five points in his last three games. Playing alongside McDavid does not hurt and he also chipped in with a power play goal last game.
