Tourney Targets: Friday

One of the best daily fantasy basketball minds out there, DraftCheat, gives out his top FanDuel picks for tournaments at each position this Friday night. Check them out below.

Point Guard

Jerryd Bayless, Milwaukee Bucks, $4100 - With Brandon Knight shipped out of town and Michael Carter-Williams not expected to play tonight, Bayless should see extra run at the point for the Bucks. He’s been a productive player even coming off the bench, and with the bump in minutes he’s a very strong bet to meet value tonight.

Ricky Rubio, Minnesota Timberwolves, $6500 - Rubio started to hit his stride before the All-Star break and should be 100% ready to go now after a few days off. The Timberwolves will be running their offense through the Spaniard in an up-tempo game vs. the Phoenix Suns. At a mid-tier price tag, Rubio has 40+ fantasy point upside, and that’s not easy to find.

Shooting Guard

Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix Suns, $8400 - The Suns cleaned house at the trade deadline, trading Goran Dragic to the Heat and Isaiah Thomas to the Celtics. They did get point guard Brandon Knight back, but he’ll be unavailable tonight, meaning Bledsoe will get all the minutes he can handle. Throw in a great matchup vs. Ricky Rubio and the Timberwolves and we’ve got a top play on our hands here tonight.

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat, $7700 - Wade is expected to play tonight, returning from a hamstring injury that kept him out for a few games before the All-Star break. With Chris Bosh out tonight, Wade should have an enormous usage and see plenty of the ball as a playmaker as well. He’s always a bit of an in-game injury risk, but he has a very high ceiling in this matchup vs. the hopeless Knicks.

Small Forward

Gerald Green, Phoenix Suns, $3900 - The Suns will need Green to play big minutes tonight, and we’ve seen in the past how hot he can get when given playing time. The awful defense of the Timberwolves should only help Green blow past his value threshold on his way to a big night in Minnesota.

Rudy Gay, Sacramento Kings, $7200 - Gay’s price is the lowest it’s been for a long time and he should be fully healthy after being a bit banged up before the All-Star Break. The Kings will be without Darren Collison, so they will be relying on Gay for more playmaking, and the matchup vs. the Celtics is certainly a good one.

Power Forward

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans, $11000 - The Brow is expected to return to the starting lineup tonight and the matchup vs. Orlando is prime. Make sure he’s in the lineup, but assuming he is nobody has as much night-to-night upside as Anthony Davis.

Markieff Morris, Phoenix Suns, $6200 - If you haven’t noticed, I’ll be going heavy on the Phoenix Suns tonight. Not only is the matchup one of the best in the NBA vs. the fast-paced, defenseless Timberwolves, but the Suns have removed a huge amount of minutes, shots, and other production from their offense. Expect the remaining main cogs to pick up the slack and perform well.

Center

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz, $5700 - Rudy Gobert is free. Finally. Enes Kanter has been traded and Gobert will take his rightful place as starting center. The matchup may not be perfect vs. the Trail Blazers, but we’ve got to take advantage of this price while it’s here. Roster Gobert with confidence tonight.
