One of the best NBA DFS players in the business, DraftCheat, dishes out his favorite FanDuel tournament targets for a massive Friday slate in the association.

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder, $11,200 - The Thunder point guard is simply performing at an unprecedented level right now. Yes, he might be tired after playing an overtime game in Phoenix last night, but he’s shown no signs of slowing down and is very tough to fade tonight against the Trail Blazers in Portland.

Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons, $6,100 - The Pistons’ new point guard has fit in seamlessly to Stan Van Gundy’s offense, and we’ve seen point guards in this offense perform well all year. Now Jackson is at the helm and he’ll be a high usage player. Jackson’s price will likely be in the mid $7K range before too long, so take advantage while you can.

Shooting Guard

Jamal Crawford, Los Angeles Clippers, $5,600 – Crawford’s usage has ticked up ever since the Blake Griffin injury, and he comes off the bench firing away in every game. He doesn’t always contribute much in other categories, but the Clips need his scoring and he makes for a very safe option at a mid-tier price, with a fair amount of upside if he gets hot from deep.

Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors, $7,100 - Thompson’s price has fallen to a point where he’s tough to avoid at a position than can be rather difficult to fill. The Raptors should be able to keep this game close enough that Thompson plays big minutes, and the sky is the limit for him in a close, fast paced matchup.

Small Forward

Danilo Gallinari, Denver Nuggets, $5,100 - Gallinari has been reinserted into the starting lineup in Aaron Afflalo’s absence and has been performing well for the Nuggets. The team needs his outside shooting and he should continue to see big minutes and 10-15 shots in tonight’s matchup vs. the Jazz. His price has not yet caught up to his production levels and he continues to be a very solid mid-tier value play.

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers, $10,400 - LBJ has been on a tear for the Cavs, putting on a marvelous performance last night on national television. With Kyrie Irving expected to miss out, he’ll be forced to carry even more of the load tonight against the Pacers, who have nobody to slow him down on the defensive end. LeBron sits head and shoulders above all other small forward options and should end up being worth the high price tag.

Power Forward

Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls, $5,100 - With Pau Gasol out (along with Derrick Rose), Taj should see plenty of minutes in a good matchup vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves. Gibson almost always reaches value when he’s in the starting lineup, and that trend should continue tonight.

J.J. Hickson, Denver Nuggets, $3,700 - With both Darrell Arthur and Jusuf Nurkic expected to miss out tonight, the Nuggets will be forced to hand more minutes to Hickson. He’s been productive in his minutes in the past and should see enough tonight to pay off his near-minimum salary.

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz, $6,400 - There are several good options at center tonight, but Gobert has as much upside as any of them and comes at a discount to guys like DeAndre Jordan. The Nuggets are very thin on the frontline tonight, so Gobert should be able to dominate this matchup.
