Tourney Targets: Friday

Tonight we are provided with an usually small six-game slate. Fridays are typically full slates in the NBA, meaning the GPPs are also much bigger. So, with a small slate and big GPPs, we are able to hit on many angles with our rosters. Let’s dive in and find some appealing GPP options for tonight’s slate on FanDuel.

Point Guard

Brandon Knight, Phoenix Suns – Knight is a fine option in all formats tonight due to an elite matchup versus the fast paced Washington Wizards. The total in this game is sitting at 212 with the Suns coming in as slight one-point favorites on the NBA odds board. On most sites, Knight is priced slightly below the red hot John Wall. This leads me to believe that most people will find the extra salary to pay up for Wall, leaving Knight as a lower owned option with similar upside. Knight has shown massive upside this season, making him a great option tonight.

Others to consider: Jarrett Jack, Mo Williams

Shooting Guard

Tyreke Evans, New Orleans Pelicans – Evans is eventually going to become a popular play if his price tag does not increase. He has been very impressive from a DFS standpoint in his first two games back (32 and 45.25 fantasy points). The Pelicans are playing at a much faster pace this season too, which will lead to some huge, stat-sheet stuffing performances for Evans. He is a guy that offers massive upside at his current price point. (NOTE that Evans is listed as a PG on FanDuel).

Others to consider: Kobe Bryant, Arron Afflalo

Small Forward

Mirza Teletovic, Phoenix Suns – The small forward position lacks many high upside options this evening. Mirza Teletovic is someone who would become a very intriguing option if the Suns continue to be thin upfront (Tyson Chandler/Markieff Morris both missed last game). Teletovic was able to get himself 39 minutes on the court due to solid play on Wednesday night (27.5 fantasy points), and if Chandler and Morris are out tonight, Teletovic would offer the most upside at the position at his low price. (NOTE that Teletovic is listed as a PF on FanDuel).

Others to consider: Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza

Power Forward

Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers – Love is one of my favorite GPP options tonight for a couple main reasons. First off, he is coming off a complete dud performance on Tuesday night in what was a great matchup with the Wizards. That letdown will drive down his ownership levels. Secondly, tonight’s matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans is actually very appealing. The Pelicans are playing at a fast pace and aren't giving much of an effort on the defensive end of the court. I expect the Cavs to score with ease in this game, and Love will likely play a big role.

Others to consider: Kristaps Porzingis, Ryan Anderson

Center

Zaza Pachulia, Dallas Mavericks – Pachulia is not a very sexy DFS name, so the guy continues to be very low owned on a nightly basis. That being said, he has flashed 40 fantasy point upside on many occasions this season. Tonight’s matchup with the Howard-less Rockets provides another opportunity for DFS success. Pachulia is a great DFS GPP target due to his low ownership levels and consistent upside.
