For the first time in a few weeks, the highly-owned players actually performed up to expectations for the most part in Week 13. There were plenty of value options available across the NFL this past week, and that will be a common theme in the closing weeks. Several teams are banged up, which will give backups opportunities to produce at cheap DFS price tags. In addition, teams that are falling out of contention will give their younger players a chance to get some game experience. The last month of the regular season will be very exciting from a daily fantasy perspective.
Here's a look at the winning lineup for this week's “Sunday Million” tournament on FanDuel:

In what has become a common theme, the winning roster was constructed with a mix of popular plays and some lower-owned picks. User “okieboy211” used a QB/WR/WR stack of Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Martavis Bryant. All three players were fairly popular and carried ownership percentages of 15%+ in the Sunday Million tournament. Roethlisberger threw four touchdowns on Sunday night, and three of them went to those two receivers. Brown also added a punt return score for good measure. These players certainly positioned okieboy211 up for victory on the week.
The biggest low-owned option that paid off for the winning lineup was Allen Robinson. He had a massive game on Sunday with a ten-catch, 153-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Titans. Javorius Allen was a close second, as he had a 29-fantasy-point day for the Ravens in Miami. Those two picks were undoubtedly a key to setting okieboy211's lineup ahead of the pack. Throw on solid days from David Johnson and Delanie Walker, and he was almost there.
What was most fascinating about this tournament was that it came down to kickers. The winner had Dan Bailey, and the second place finisher had Dustin Hopkins. They traded places throughout a less-than-riveting 19-16 Monday night football game, and it was Bailey's 54-yard game winner with 14 seconds remaining that pushed okieboy211 over the top. Yes, it was the kickers that decided this week's Sunday million. If you are not a fan of kickers in daily fantasy, this was not the week for you. Congratulations to all the winners on FanDuel this week!
STLCardinals84: Week 13 Recap
After a solid week of success in Week 12, I was hoping to keep things rolling heading into the new week. It wasn't as good of a week, but my tournament rosters churned out a second consecutive week of profit on FanDuel. Below was my top tournament lineup of the week:

This roster was a blend of some popular plays and some off-the-board plays. Let's start with the popular ones. Since I went with some low ownership plays at other positions, I locked in the chalk plays at running back. David Johnson was staring at a big role thanks to injuries to Andre Ellington and Chris Johnson, while DeAngelo Williams had a nice price tag and a cushy matchup against Indianapolis. Both players came in at around 30% ownership, and they had solid (but not spectacular) games on Sunday, combining for 36 fantasy points.
In addition to the two running backs, both Odell Beckham Jr. and Antonio Brown were highly owned at wide receiver. They were my two most expensive players, and they put up two of the better scores on my roster. Beckham hauled in a long touchdown grab, while Brown swung many contests one way or the other with a big game on Sunday night. Because I had four highly-owned players so far, I decided to take a different path with the rest of my lineup with the exception of locking in the Bengals Defense, who played well against young Austin Davis and the Browns.
I opted for a QB/TE stack with the 3% owned Marcus Mariota and the 12% owned Delanie Walker. Mariota had perhaps the best game of his rookie season, throwing for 268 yards while running for 112 more and totaling four touchdowns in the process. His 37 fantasy point day was the big key to success for a few of my best lineups this week. Walker hauled in eight passes for 92 yards and one of the three aerial scores. Finally, I rounded out my roster with a cheap third wide receiver in DeVante Parker. He was given a bigger role in the Miami offense in the absence of Rishard Matthews, and he paid off his low salary tag with a nice touchdown catch right before halftime. At the end of the day, he helped make it a fine week, though it wasn't as good as some others.
