DFS Soccer Week 37-2

Hello everyone! We have a cool little mid-week slate on DraftKings before we get ready for the season finale so I’m here getting everyone prepared for it.  The odds this week look a bit funny, with Sunderland having the best shot at a win-to-nil against Everton, but that’s end of season football for you!

The three matches:

Sunderland – Everton

Liverpool – Chelsea

Norwich - Watford

Goalkeepers

Well, there is that. Not many options here, and John Ruddy is somehow the goalkeeper with the top win-to-nil percentage. Yup, that’s right. Norwich. That’s a super tough match to back, but there isn’t much to like in cash games, and I think it’s going to be between him and Vito Mannone. Mannone gets Everton, who are better than Watford, but Sunderland is also much safer than backing Norwich. Good luck deciding between the two.

For GPPs, both goalkeepers in the Chelsea match are options, but I don’t necessarily love either one in a match that could go either way. For the price, Watford’s Gomes is a great GPP option as well, since Norwich have trouble scoring. With Norwich needing a win badly, I expect them to attack all game, which gives Gomes a huge ceiling if he can keep a clean sheet.

This isn’t much better than the goalkeeper situation on this limited slate. Jermain Defoe seems like a lock for cash games, and I expect him to be highly owned.  He is a fairly solid GPP fade in a slate that will see him highly owned in GPPs as well. Daniel Sturridge is always an option when he starts, and he’s played well lately. Diego Costa has a tough matchup but can score. There really isn’t a way to go outside of Defoe-Sturridge in cash, unless you go with Mbokani (or whoever starts for Norwich) and then spend up in midfield.

Good luck everyone!
