TAKE OF THE DAY
I see a lot of talk about the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. I wanted to make it clear where I stand on this game. While I do see reasons that support a Diamondbacks stack, when I really took a look at it, I definitely favor Antonio Senzatela and the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies are +130 underdogs with an 8.5 O/U on PointsBet.com. I guess this could be considered a GPP pivot play or leverage play (depending on the confirmed ownership), regardless, I like these Rockies! Most people will look at Arizona’s Batter vs. Pitcher stats and see some impressive numbers or they might see nothing notable at all but if you look closer, Arizona’s key batters have pretty horrible averages against Senzatela. David Peralta is batting .136 in 22 at-bats, Eduardo Escobar is batting .217 in 23 at-bats, and Carson Kelly is batting .167 in six at-bats. Nick Ahmed, Daulton Varsho are the only Diamondbacks who exhibit favorable stats against Senzatela. The Rockies SP is actually going to be my GPP Pitching Play of the Night. The Rockies are at +130 with an 8.5 O/U on PointsBet.com. Senzatela has faced Arizona once already this season lasting eight innings only allowing four hits. The Arizona Diamondbacks are batting just .220 against right-handed pitchers over 636 at-bats, striking out 177 times. I’m not quite sure why I see people liking Arizona or why Vegas has the Diamondbacks favored at all. Everything that I’ve seen is pointing towards a Colorado Rockies win with a stellar performance by Antonio Senzatela. I call it how I see it.
Daulton Varsho - Arizona Diamondbacks (vs. Colorado Rockies - SP Antonio Senzatela)
If you decide to ride with this Arizona stack, Daulton Varsho becomes a solid roster along with Pavin Smith. The best part about daily fantasy is that you can invest in both sides of a game. So, have your exposure to Arizona just in case. As I’ve mentioned, I'm all over the Rockies tonight. But regardless, this is a game that you need to have players from. There should be some serious DFS goodness in this game, don’t miss out.

Anthony Rizzo - Chicago Cubs (vs. Atlanta Braves - SP Bryse Wilson)
Rizzo is batting 4 - 5 against Bryce Wilson with a double, and two home runs - a small BvP sample size but notable nonetheless. Rizzo has three home runs over his last 10 games averaging 9.3 FPPG. I'm calling for an Anthony Rizzo home run tonight in Atlanta.
Jose Abreu - Chicago White Sox (vs. Detroit Tigers - SP Matthew Boyd)
Jose Abreu has a .371 batting average with two home runs in 35 at-bats against Matthew Boyd. Tim Anderson also hits Boyd well with a .357 batting average including three home runs, one triple, and three doubles in 42 at-bats. These are BvP numbers that you cannot ignore.
Nick Solak - Texas Rangers (vs. Boston Red Sox - SP Martin Perez)
The NBC Sports Edge MLB Optimizer has Solak projected for 12.1 fantasy points against the Boston Red Sox. He's batting .343 against opposing lefties and is averaging 11.6 FPPG over his last 10 games. Perez has a 5.71 ERA this season and allows right-handed batters to hit .298 with a .827 OPS. Solak is cash game playable along with other Texas righties including, Adolis Garcia.
Ryan McMahon - Colorado Rockies (vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - SP Luke Weaver)
Nick Ahmed is batting .429 with one triple and five RBI against Senzatela. Ryan McMahon has three home runs off three hits over nine at-bats against Luke Weaver. A lot of people like the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight but I am not one of those people. I do believe the Rockies win tonight's game against a Diamondbacks team that are currently batting .220 against opposing right-handed pitchers with a 27% strikeout rate.
J.D. Martinez - Boston Red Sox (vs. Texas Rangers - SP Kyle Gibson)
The Red Sox are no strangers to Kyle Gibson. Martinez has seen Kyle Gibson 33 times posting a .303 batting average with two home runs. Xander Bogaerts, who’s batting behind Martinez at the moment, has a .300 batting average in 20 at-bats against Gibson. The Boston Red Sox should be a safe investment tonight. Boston is favored by -115 with a 9 O/U Courtesy of PointsBet.com.
