Spencer Turnbull – Detroit Tigers (vs. Milwaukee Brewers) Yahoo: $34 DK: $8500 FD: $7600
The Brewers have been my favorite team to target this season. They have high strikeout numbers and low batting averages. Yes, they can hit home runs but for the most part, they’re a very targetable team. Tonight, they face Spencer Turnbull. Turnbull has averaged 13.1 DK points over his last seven starts. He currently has a 3.89 ERA allowing only one home run this season. His recent game logs are actually quite inconsistent. He has been a little all over the place but tonight he gets back on track. The Milwaukee Brewers are batting .208 with 295 strikeouts in 943 at bats against opposing right-handed pitchers so far this season. That’s not good! Turnbull had a horrible outing against Milwaukee in his last start allowing five earned over 4.1 innings pitched. I think Turnbull learns from that outing and adjusts properly. The Brewers are favored by -150 with a 9.0 under/over. I disagree with this line. Detroit takes this one in a low scoring affair. GPP play only.
Other SP Option: Walker Buehler - Los Angeles Dodgers (vs. Arizona Diamondbacks)

Austin Nola – San Diego Padres (vs. Chi Chi Gonzalez) Yahoo: $17 DK: $5100 FD: $3,000
Let’s ride the hot hand here. Nola has a .293 batting average with six home runs and 22 RBI. Nola is facing Chi Chi Gonzalez. Colorado’s starter has a 5.00 ERA on the season. He has only pitched three games so far this season and already faced San Diego on August 30th. In this game he lasted four innings only allowing two hits. One of those hits was a home run. Chi Chi is actually an interesting GPP punt, considering we are going to want to fit as many Cleveland Indians as possible. Nola carries a high floor as well as a significant ceiling. Although I may be considering Chi Chi as a punt GPP play, realistically Nola will perform well and Chi Chi will not. The San Diego Padres are favored by -250 with a 9.0 under/over.
Other C Option: Travis D’Arnaud - Atlanta Braves (vs Sixto Sanchez)
Carlos Santana - Cleveland Indians (vs. Jakob Junis) FD: $2700
*FanDuel Early Slate*
The Indians are my favorite stack of the day. As a team, they are batting .348 over 154 at bats. Carlos Santana is batting particularly well against Junis. In 20 at bats, he has seven hits and four walks. This gives him a .438 batting average. Several Indians are batting exceptionally well against Jakob Junis. Taking into account Cleveland's BVP stats, the Indians should be in for one hell of a game tonight at Progressive Field. Keep reading to see the other Cleveland Indian batters that I will be investing in for tonight's nine game slate.
Keston Hiura - Milwaukee Brewers (vs. Spencer Turnbull) Yahoo: $19 DK: $5100 FD: $3700
Don't get me wrong, I still love Spencer Turnbull. Milwaukee should be popular considering they just beat Turnbull in his last game start. Therefore, Hiura should be popular as well. Milwaukee’s second baseman exhibits reverse splits, meaning he hits righties better than lefties. This is a game that you will want to invest in both sides of. I love Turnbull for GPP tournaments but I can also see Milwaukee as a viable cash game play. Invest in either a Milwaukee stack (including Hiura) or Detroit starting pitcher, Spencer Turnbull.
Other 2B Play: D.J LeMahieu - New York Yankees (vs. Taijuan Walker) *FanDuel Early Slate*
Anthony Rendon - Los Angeles Angels (vs. Lance Lynn) Yahoo: $20 DK: $5300 FD: $3900
Little bit of a GPP play here but I kind of love it. Rendon has been hitting for power but not so much average. Over his last 35 at bats he’s hitting only .200 yet he’s averaging 8.5 DK points over that span. He has home runs in each of his last two and hits in each of his last three. I do not like Lance Lynn tonight so load up on Angels.
Francisco Lindor – Cleveland Indians (vs. Jakob Junis) – FD: $3500
*FanDuel Early Slate*
This one is going to be short and to the point. Lindor dominates Jakob Junis. With a .500 batting average and four home runs in 35 at bats, need I say more? Lindor also has three doubles and one triple in his 35 at bats against Junis. Cleveland’s Shortstop has been hitting just fine as of late. Expect him to continue this success today. Cleveland all day!
Tyler Naquin – Cleveland Indians (vs. Jakob Junis) – FD: $2900
*FanDuel Early Slate*
Remember, this is a 6:30 PM game. Although it is not on tonight's main slate you can still benefit from investing in Cleveland on Fanduel. The Cleveland Indians are favored by -225 with a 9.0 under/over. Naquin has seen Junis 20 times over his career. In those 20 at bats, Cleveland's outfielder totaled nine hits with 2 home runs. That gives him a .474 batting average along with a .789 SLG%. His OPS is also very high at 1.289. Tyler Naquin and Francisco Lindor are crucial parts of a Cleveland Indians stack this afternoon.
