This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.
We’ll take a look at the nine-game main slate starting at 7:00 ET on Saturday.
Derrick Rose - Detroit (at Atlanta)
Rose has been a fantasy stud while averaging 37 FPPG over his last six games. His playing time has noticed a boost lately, jumping from 24-28 to 30-34+ minutes in some instances. Rose finds himself in a spectacular matchup at Atlanta, who ranks 28th in team defensive efficiency and fifth in pace. This is the highest-scoring game of the night (230 over/under), and Rose should make plenty of fantasy noise within that.
Donovan Mitchell - Utah (vs. Sacramento)
Mitchell was dealing with an illness earlier in the week, but it appears that he’s fully recovered after tallying a career-high 46 points (59 FP) at New Orleans on Thursday. Mitchell finds himself in another welcoming matchup against the Kings, a team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency to opposing shooting guards. You know what to do. His salary is still artificially low due to a flop vs. Charlotte last Friday, so Mitchell makes for an easy DFS lift through all formats tonight.
Danilo Gallinari - Oklahoma City (vs. Portland)
Don’t look now, but Gallinari has been a fantasy beast lately. The OKC forward has chipped in 38+ FP in three of his last five games, and I believe he will cross that threshold again tonight. Playing up in pace against Portland (20th in d-eff to SFs) should help. Despite that recent uptick, “Gallo” maintains a fair mid-range salary that meshes comfortably into most lineup combinations. He’s definitely on my shortlist tonight.
Nerlens Noel - Oklahoma City (vs. Portland)
Noel returned from a six-game absence (ankle) last night to post 29 FP in 21 minutes vs. Miami. Steven Adams missed that game with a knee issue, and the OKC big man is questionable tonight. If Adams is out, Noel makes for a strong DFS bargain against a Portland team that ranks 24th in defensive efficiency to centers. If Adams ends up playing, then Noel becomes a fringe DFS option. Pivoting to Luke Kornet for value makes sense in that situation.
Rudy Gobert - Utah (vs. Sacramento)
There’s plenty of value on this slate, and I’m using that to lock-in Rudy Gobert as a confident expenditure. The Utah center has been unshakable while hitting 46+ fantasy points in five straight games. I’d be surprised if he didn’t surpass that total against Sacramento. The Kings rank slightly below average (16th) in defensive efficiency to centers and 23rd in rebound rate.
