NBA DFS Plays: Wednesday 3/4

This article aims to highlight some of the best NBA DFS Plays at every position for your cash game lineups. Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our NBA News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

We’ll take a look at Wednesday’s nine-game main slate starting at 7:00 ET.

Luka Doncic - Dallas (vs. New Orleans)

There’s plenty of value on tonight’s slate (more on that later), making it easy to spend on a premium talent like Doncic. The Mavericks are playing up in pace against the Pelicans, a team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency to point guards. Doncic usually carries a heavy usage rate, but he could be asked to absorb even more with J.J. Barea and Seth Curry questionable. Either way, Luka checks in as a fantastic lift through all DFS formats.

Also Consider: Coby White, Brad Wanamaker

Marcus Smart - Boston (at Cleveland)

We’ll need to double-check Smart’s status throughout the day. The Boston guard was in an altercation with a referee last night, so a suspension could be handed down. However, if Smart gets away with just a fine, the Celtics will need him to pick up the slack with Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Gordon Hayward doubtful. Javonte Green is a solid bargain while filling in for that group, and his DFS prospects would grow if Smart can’t play either.

Also Consider: Caris LeVert, Javonte Green

Giannis Antetokounmpo - Milwaukee (vs. Indiana)

As mentioned earlier, there’s no shortage of value this evening. That makes it easy to climb the salary ladder to snag Antetokounmpo through all formats. The matchup doesn’t look great on paper, as Indiana ranks first in defensive efficiency to small forwards. However, we all know that Giannis is matchup-proof. He posted 18-19-9 in his last meeting with the Pacers (Dec. 22), and there’s room for improved shooting within that. Go ahead and play the reigning MVP with confidence tonight.

Also Consider: Kevin Porter Jr., Juancho Hernangomez

Naz Reid - Minnesota (vs. Chicago)

Reid has been up-and-down since becoming a key piece in Minnesota’s rotation. However, he’s consistently seeing around 25+ minutes, which should serve him well against a Chicago team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency to power forwards. The Bulls also rank 28th in d-eff to centers. Reid is coming off a monster performance at New Orleans last night (48 FP), and there’s a chance that momentum will carry into this confident draw.

Also Consider: Christian Wood, Daniel Theis

Jonas Valanciunas - Memphis (at Brooklyn)

Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke will continue to miss time for the Grizzlies. That leaves Jonas Valanciunas to hold down the frontcourt, a role he has turned into 48 fantasy points in two of his last three outings. Tonight’s matchup is ripe for the picking against a Brooklyn team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency to centers. Don’t overthink it: “JoVal” is the perfect cash game center.

Also Consider: Hassan Whiteside
