Kendrick Nunn - Miami Heat (vs. Brooklyn Nets)
While most expect this to be a bloodbath, there is still fantasy goodness to be had. The Nets are favored by -7 points with Harden, Durant, and Irving all healthy. Personally, I think this line belongs upwards of -12. With that said, Nunn is their only option at PG for the moment. Over his last four games, he’s averaging 33.6 DK PPG while shooting 57% from the field. Nunn is dialed in right now. His salaries are still reasonable but his roster percentage should be high - Chalk central!
Other PG Option: Ricky Rubio - Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)
Make sure to check the Rotoworld NBA Optimizer before lock! Here you will find the top plays paired with accurate projections which will help you create your lineup!
Jevon Carter - Phoenix Suns (vs. Denver Nuggets)
If Devin Booker is confirmed out, Carter should see extended usage at the guard position. It might take him a while to reach value but at his current salaries around the industry, you can’t afford to fade him. Carter is aggressive and a solid three-point shooter. Give this kid the opportunity and he will shine. That’s what he has tonight, an opportunity for more minutes and more usage.
Other SG Option: Malik Beasley - Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)
Mikal Bridges - Phoenix Suvs (vs. Denver Nuggets)
As I have mentioned in prior articles, Will Barton’s defense is questionable. Michael Porter Jr. is returning day by day so make sure that you only invest in Bridges if Barton is starting at SF. In his first game back last night, Porter Jr. played 20 minutes and scored 20 DK points. He should regain the starting role soon but for now, If Barton starts, take advantage of his sub-par defense by investing in The Suns SF, Bridges, who totaled 51 DK points against Denver in their last matchup. Due to this, I expect Porter Jr. to start tonight. If that becomes the case, MPJ is a viable GPP play at reasonable salaries.
Other SF Option: Michael Porter Jr. - Denver Nuggets (vs. Phoenix Suns)
Paul Millsap - Denver Nuggets (vs. Phoenix Suns)
While I predict Barton will struggle (if he starts), someone has to pick up the usage in his place. Yes, MPJ will take over most of the usage on the second unit but someone needs to put up numbers with Denver’s starting five. Millsap could be that guy. Milsap is averaging 21.8 DK points per game so far this season. He’s shooting 51% from the field as is averaging
Other PF Option: Josh Green - Dallas Mavericks ( Houston Rockets)
Deandre Ayton - Phoenix Suns (vs. Denver Nuggets)
If Devin Booker is sidelined tonight, the Suns will need to lean on their big boys. Bridges is in another solid matchup tonight (as long as Barton starts) but the best matchup is really Ayton vs. Joker. I am very eager to watch this matchup tonight. The Suns are slight +2.5 underdogs with a 216.5 O/U. Booker could still play so monitor lineups until lock but as of now, he is, “unlikely to play” as reported by Kellan Olson. If this remains true, Ayton and Chris Paul should see massive upticks tonight. Ayton’s defense is much improved and Denver is coming off of a back to back. Ayton could very well be the low rostered GPP play of the Night.
**With Wood OUT, DeMarcus Cousins is a must-play.**
Other C Option: Naz Reid - Minnesota Timberwolves ( vs. New Orleans Pelicans)
PG Jevon Carter
SF Joe Ingles
